:: Key Principles of a Kingdom Business
| Key Principles of a Kingdom Business |
- Extension of the activities of the church (not a separate entity)
- relationship with & submission to the church leadership (not manipulation & control)
- Access to apostolic source – impartation of grace, favour & energy
- Spiritual gifts give the “edge” – words of wisdom/knowledge, prophecy, discerning, faith
- principles of biblical character & doctrine.
Reflect who we are – Excellence & integrity – get it right personally.
- “bigger picture” mentality, ethos & culture. Kingdom projects – Church in the community, training centres, building improvements, combined celebration.
- Contact point to the world’s centres of economy, society, politics & finance.
Leadership is influence..
- Reproduction mentality - Birthing & fathering new & emerging business
- Resource distribution – entire motive & priority for existence
- Team – help each other.
- Vision – not small mindedness. Make provision for the vision. Don’t limit yourself – you control the amount of provision! Elisha multiplies the oil of the woman in 2 Kings 4:1

| Kingdom Business |
- Creates jobs & opportunities for practical ministry to the marginalised or poor – eg ex-prisoner.
- Generates income for a needy community.
- Provides jobs for Christians or those who may be otherwise excluded from employment.
- Strengthens the church in communities hostile to the gospel.
- Facilitates covert or overt mission to a particular people group or community.
- Provide strategies that go hand in hand with church planting.
- Business incubation and development in these contexts - the provision of capital and training to enable the start of a business. (Micro-enterprise is just one such example on the smallest scale).
- Business that deliberately fosters social transformation - by providing employment, social change, influencing governments/key individuals, and which provides a credible platform for demonstrating the love of God.
